A public health / environmental scientist with over 22 years of experience as a Scientific Officer with the Malaysian Ministry of Health at state, federal and institutional level.

Expertise in public health/epidemiology, environmental health, surveillance/monitoring and investigation of water quality pollutants, health risk assessment, hospital engineering/indoor air environment for an ultimate vision of improving population health.

Roles and responsibilities in laboratory management, programme management, capacity building, policy setting, regulatory establishment and implementation, data analysis/management and evaluation, auditing and accreditation, training of staff as well as research management in both public health and medical areas.

Qualified with a PhD (2016) on remediation of water pollution supervised by national/international water experts: Prof Dato' Seri Ir. Dr Zaini Ujang, Prof Ir. Megat Johari and Prof Dr. Norio Sugiura at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, UTM Malaysia (MJIIT, UTM) in collaboration with University of Tsukuba, Japan.

Managed/conducted more than 14 research projects (6 in water quality, 3 in clinical epidemiology at Clinical Research Centre, 3 at Institute for Medical Research, 1 at Kuala Lumpur Hospital and 1 on water pollution remediation during PhD).

Published 3 journal articles and 70 over technical reports on water surveillance, water treatment sanitary survey, water treatment health risk assessment and investigation reports. Delivered more than 13 oral and 5 poster presentations at national and international conferences.

Delivered lectures and training throughout the country; as well as reviewer of local and international journals and conferences papers.
